Travelling and Day 1

First official meal with my awesome group five!
Names: (starting from the girl in white in the back and then around the table)
Allison, Sam, Vivian, me, Ashley, and Mandy
(missing is: Munny, she arrived a few minutes later)

The menu was completely in Chinese! :O
It's kinda neat, to order you mark what you want on the menu, and then you give it to the front area...

Closer view of a different menu (same restaurant!)

My first meal! It was really tasty! I've never seen tofu cooked this way!
The red thing that looks like an odd grape is special Chinese medicine!

The front of our hostel

That is the side of the entrance to the hostel, and you can see 7-eleven in the not so very far distance!

7-ELEVEN! :P

Complementary Airplane food!
Granted I couldn't eat most of it, but the pink stuff was tasty!
And this was actually only the side dish!

The lights in our super fancy Karaoke bus! :D

These little guys show you how different 7-Eleven is here compared to the states!
For every 70 NTD (around $2.40) you get a stamp, and after collecting 30 stamps you get a little guy!
I didn't collect 60 stamps... 2 of us bought SIM cards, so they gave us a ton of stamps!
They are mini fans, and the fan is stored in the back of their heads!
Way cuter than they are useful!

This is where you collect the stamps to collect all of the tiny fan cats!

Thought that my mom would enjoy this!
It's also cheaper here! (plus it was the only one that I recognized)

Completely legit and delicious soy milk!
It tasted so fresh and delicious! You can't even really compare it to the soy milk that you can find back home!

This on the other hand...... THIS tasted like Sunny-D...
Sunny-D that is just not very good... I was really disappointed...

First purchase! It is a really nice T-shirt material and it is covered in little stars!

If I bought 2 items, then I would get them both for a combined total of $5.06.
Completely worth it! Each individually would have cost at least $15 in the states..
I'm gonna have fun shopping! :)

7-Eleven is kinda like god here... I don't think that we even have a place that represents how important 7-Eleven is to the people here! I went to 3 different 7-Elevens, in about 10 blocks (rounding up) for a total of 5 different visits in 1 day...
This is my bus/MRT (train)/and about a zillion other random things card...
Unfortunately this was the only option at the 7-Eleven where we bought them..... I am not sure what it is... I think that someone told me that it was a Japanese cartoon... But again, no idea...

The back of the i-cash!

My lovely phone!
In case of emergencies, or if we stay out past 10:00.... The Hostel locks at 10, and the gates to campus lock at 12:00... There are ways to get in, so I am happy to have a phone!

7-Eleven is also a big mobile carrier company... :P
They've got my service!
Cost about, idk $10... I think I can handle that!
