Days 16 - 21

Classes are starting to take a bit more effort, and there was a typhoon off the coast of Taiwan this week.
I stayed in my room and read a lot, so that is why this post is for all week!

Vegetarian Pot Stickers...
Aka, spring rolls!

The insides of a Pineapple Cake

SO good!
Spring Onion Pancake

The competition!
For our Chinese Culture class, we did some cooking this week!
This was the first time, for some of the students, to ever cook.
We made Pineapple Cakes, and Spring Onion Pancakes.
Both of which, I made sure to keep the recipe!

Our entry!
These are our Pineapple Cakes!

My delicious noodles that will help me survive! ;)

Hot Spring creek.
Kinda amazing!

Little waterfalls!
(the reason that these images are so zoomed in, is that there are a bunch of people in this area... If you were to go up or down the creek just a little then there wouldn't be...)

Really neat banjo(ish) type instrument...

They put a lot of detail into these!

This one looked tasty!

Our group posing in authentic Japanese bathrobes at a bath house!

 A little more posing!

An old bath.
You could sit in it and listen to music now..
There was no water...

A really old bath, with really old water.....

The architecture that they were going for was Roman, with the pillars and all.
It was really quite pretty.. Just a bit odd that there was standing water...

I liked the stained glass, and how the sun was shining through it.. :)

Hot springs!
Except the 2 closest ones are a lie...
They were incredibly cold!
The one of the bottom in the distance was the perfect one, and they got hotter and hotter as you go up.
That was actually the 4th one from the "source".

Not sure what this was, but it looked neat..

A view from inside..
And we were not the only ones taking pictures..

Me, and my giant $0.50 ice cream!
The chocolate was kinda delicious, but the vanilla tasted like ice...
Oh, ya, this is the small.....
