The currency here is called: New Taiwanese Dollars (referred to below as NTD)

The reason that there are 2 on the bottom is that the one on the left is a special edition piece, the front is also slightly different, but it is not photographed..

To give some scale on prices.. I spent 35 on some stinky tofu (that wasn't really stinky, but there most definitely is some that smells like cow) and 25 on some mochi.
I spent 150 on a nice quality shirt and dress (75 each)
950 on a cell phone
and I am pretty sure the zoo costs 60...
